We all deserve to have access to good health care
IDA Global Alliance is committed to promoting the right to health, implementing the third Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of Good Health and Well-being, which ensures healthy lives and promotes well-being for all at all ages, and providing the highest possible level of health services to all people in Uganda through delivery of promotive, preventive, curative, palliative, and rehabilitative health services at all levels."
The Health Status in Uganda
Around 76 percent of Uganda's population lives in rural areas, where access to quality health care is limited. There is currently one doctor for every 25,000 people, which is far below the WHO's recommendation of one doctor for every 1,000 people.
This has put a strain on health-care facilities and has significantly reduced health-care worker motivation and service quality.
Our mission as IDA Global Alliance is to work with communities and community leaders to promote health initiatives in Uganda and improve access to health services in the country.
