Mission Education - The Laki High School Project
IDA Global Alliance is committed to providing basic education. We believe that there is no better place to begin than in the corridors of education, whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment, or human rights.
Education is both the means and the end goal of a better life; the means because it enables an individual to earn a living and the end goal because it raises one's awareness on a variety of issues ranging from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, allowing one to evolve as a better citizen.
Laki High school was graciously named after Mr. Eliphazi Laki in recognition of the effort to help get it started way back in the late 1950’s.
We would like to contribute to the reconstruction of the dormitory in order to make room for the female students who have been readmitted to the school. In addition to the school facility reconstruction, we as a family have been raising funds for books, computers, and sanitary products for the girls.
For this effort, we are looking to raise $5,500 in order to put a roof on the structure.
